Hello, beautiful you!!! I hope this weekend finds you well. So much to do, and so little time! Since this is Easter weekend, we are meditating on the sacrifice Jesus made for us on the cross, and on the chance we have to redeem ourselves.
This weekend's song, "Never Too Far Gone" by Jordan Feliz, reflects this immense love that God has for us, and how we are never too far gone from turning back to the right path.
Many times as we grow older and make more decisions, we start to be judgmental about our actions, and we undervalue ourselves. We believe that we are not worthy of love or care or saving. However, Jesus reminds us that is not the case.
Whether you believe in a God or not, realize that you as an individual are worthy and that someone came down to Earth to save you. You are loved not by what you have done, but by being the person you are. You are loved not by the results of your actions, but by the saving grace of Christ.
I think that mothers and fathers understand this kind of love. A love so large and infinite, that it completely overtakes their lives. A parent would always welcome back a child that needs love. For a parent, love is sacrifice, it hurts, and it is messy. For God, love is sacrifice, it hurts, and it is messy. God will always welcome us back with an open heart.
Choose to turn back. Choose to accept yourself. Choose to be the best image of yourself. Choose God. Choose love.
Happy Easter, everyone!
