Hello, beautiful you!!! I hope this past weekend you ate a lot, had fun, and spent it in a wonderful way! For me, it was certainly a good and rejuvenating weekend. Now we are looking forward to the new year! I will have a special post this Friday that I am very excited about, so I hope you can celebrate with me the New Year 2016 ;)
How many presents did you get this Christmas? Which is your favorite? I had one gift (a book) for which I think I will harbor a hate-love relationship. The book is titled "How" by Dov Seidman. The main talk of the book is about how the way we do things has a very important effect on the results you want to see. Knowing how your behavior can affect the outcome of a situation is important, and I hope to learn much from the book. However, although I am terribly excited to know this secret, I am also terribly fearful of what it will teach me. How many things in life are we ignorant about? How does it affect who we are after we learn a new skill? Growth is a terribly exciting and fearful thing :)
Keeping my book and those feelings in mind, I have constructed another goal in my life [my Christmas present for myself]: Whatever your age - be it 5, 20, 45, or 80 years old -, always believe you are wise enough to make a decision, but never believe you are old enough to know everything there is to know about life.
How many times as we grow older do we start to act all cocky and superior only because we have "seen it all"? It is important to show respect and admiration for our seniors, but they don't know all. How many times do we feel insecure and afraid just because we are young and have no experience? Do not we afraid to make mistakes, for it is the only way that you will learn. If your decision fails, then learn from it and try again.
Growth does not stop with age. Growth should be a continuous track in our lives. Growth can only be achieved, if we are willing to feel vulnerable and open. Don't feel old or young. Feel the moment of time. Only the present moment represents whom you truly are. Be open.
What do you think? Feel free to leave a comment! As I read more into the book, I will make posts about interesting facts that I run across. Thanks for reading :) Have an awesome week!
Be strong, be unique, and step out of your comfort zone!
