"To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often" - This is one of many Winston Churchill's quotes that speaks to our need to be driven, good, useful, and grateful.
When you are good, you aim to continuously change and adapt. By changing your habits, actions, and internal thoughts, you aim to create a personality of "goodness". When you aim for this goodness, you are striving not for perfection, but for the feeling of knowing that you have learned and you continue to grow through all the years you have in this life. Smile, radiate a bright energy, don't be greedy, have compassion. Don't seek internal happiness, but rather, seek to be of service. It is a great feeling, trust me.
When you are useful, you aim to continuously seek opportunities of service. It is through this seeking of opportunities that you change. You change by being part of new experiences with people and situations that challenge you to give the best service you could give. To be useful is to seek opportunities for change and growth.
When you are grateful, you are continuously changing. It is by seeking to observe and be mindful that you change your thoughts. By changing your thoughts, you are aiming to change your behavior and the perspective with which you approach life. Being grateful is to seek to change those complaints, excuses, and childish habits that inhibit our personal growth. To be grateful is to be aware of the present and live it with no regrets or complaints.
To improve is to change - Be Driven To Change. Seek that which makes you be good, useful, and grateful. Don't be afraid about what others will say. Seek also the company of those who will encourage your change. They are your true friends. Help those who are left behind, but maintain your own resolution. That is your lifelong goal :)
Be strong, be unique, and step outside of your comfort zone!
