Anywayssss.... Today I have a series of videos from one of my favorite guys to watch on YouTube for bo staff technique. I practice TaeKwonDo and one of the things that we play around with are the bo staffs. I'm not the best at it, but I want to be good at this. So, I have searched the web for someone good I can learn from, and I found many.
The guy that I chose right now is one that I like, because he is simple and straight to the point. He does the technique slow and up close to the camera, so I can see how it is done. I have been able to get the spinning part, but I cannot go so fast. I am working on my speed, so that I can look like he does in the video (It looks like the stick is just going around nonstop).
My only approach to practicing has been repetition, and it has worked, but I need to do more drills. It is always the transition to the other hand that always get's me. Have you ever tried weapons in class before? How do you get the technique perfected? Feel free to comment anything :) Thanks
So, I will leave you with the video to watch and I'll go and practice myself a bit :p
Have a weekend everyone! Remember to always try to do something that will make you grow everyday. Do something that will make you tired, excited, and get you out of your comfort zone!
