Hello, beautiful you!!! Are you excited about Friday!? I have a lot of work to do and I have to study as well, but just thinking that it is the weekend makes it all better. I can at least stay in bed with my books spread out in the sheets, right? :D
Do you want to guess this weekend's song?? I will tell you: "Hold My Hand" by Jess Glynne. The first time I heard this song, I was immediately attracted to its rhythm, beat, and exciting melody. Also, at a moment when many songs talk about being independent and strong and self-sufficient, this song shows a more vulnerable side to our feelings. It shows our need for love.
We like being independent, but we also like to be with those we love, right? I like this song and the singer, because they look strong and ready to move, yet at the same time, they are not afraid to show their need for companionship and help. They acknowledge their need to hold someone's hand.
Have you ever felt like that before? You believe you have to be this rock that it is constant, strong, unbreakable, and infallible. You think that everyone is dependent on you, and you cannot relax even for a second, or else things will crumble down. You believe you have to be your own strength. STOP! You don't have to be like that all the time.
It is perfectly fine to ask for help, and to seek the support from those around you. It is perfectly fine to believe that you are human, and to require some quiet time to regenerate. Breathe. Relax. Recharge.
Whomever that hand it is you are holding onto - God, your husband, your wife, your children, your best friend - remember to say thank you. Those who stick with you through thick and thin are a treasure to hold in your hand. Take their hand, look them in the eyes, and smile :)
I hope you guys have a wonderful weekend! Remember to comment and share. I would love to hear from you!
Be strong, be unique, and step out of your comfort zone!
