Hello, beautiful you!!! How was your weekend? A little too short? Yes, maybe...:p Well, I am proud to say that my cooking last week was not bad at all. I made some beef, salad, and shrimp recipes that I enjoyed eating. I will see how it goes this week :)
Clicking and clicking through various YouTube videos (I click one, and then I see another one that looks cool, and then another one...:p), I have found an instructor for the bo staff that I like watching. In his videos, he goes through the motions first (slowly), and then he demonstrates with a partner how the moves are used for defense and attack. I have attached the link below. I hope it is helpful!
I am trying to practice small techniques and learn the correct foot work, so that in the near future I will be able to come up with my own bo staff patterns. That is my goal! First I want to become comfortable with the bo staff, and I have done that. Check! Now, I want to learn the correct footwork and different hand techniques. In progress! I hope that with practice, I will be able to create my own pattern for demonstration. Goal!
If you are also interested, feel free to comment on techniques or any other concern. Maybe you are working on different exercise goals for this year? Also feel free to share!
I enjoy doing this type of work, because it forces me to try something new and grow into a stronger person. I have to remember to practice everyday, and work my way step by step. Even if my steps are small, I feel confident that I will reach my destination when the time is right. Fighting! Have a great week, everyone!
Be strong, be unique, and step out of your comfort zone!
