I have a great quote that I found on my agenda for today, and I want to share it with you. It is a quote by Lucille Ball and it touches on exactly the mood I am feeling right now:
"It doesn't pay to get discouraged. Keeping busy and making optimism a way of life can restore your faith in yourself."
I though this quote was a good one to keep in mind, because, seriously, how many of us wake up every morning feeling great all the time? Sometimes we need to work hard to even feel like wanting to wake up. Most days we can make it through with no problem, but then there are those days that just seem endless.
On those days, I think it is important to remember that we shouldn't lose hope that our work is actually important. On those days, it is important to get rid of those negative thoughts that invade our minds and hearts, and to keep going. On those days, it is important to take a step back, to look into our final goal, and remind ourselves that we need to work towards our end point. Keep busy and keep going!
Feeling sorry for yourself is not going to help you make anything for the better. You need to stop complaining about your life. You need to stop feeling empty and stupid. I know it might sound a little ego-centrical but you need to value yourself first. After you feel good about yourself, then do what you must do! Take action (even if it is something small - make it a habit every day and it will become something big!). And above everything: seek help when you need it! Seriously, so many people are afraid to ask questions and seek help. But that is very important.
Humans are naturally learners, I believe, so by asking questions and seeking help you might actually find the answers you were searching for. Don't get discouraged!
Soooo...Make the most of today! I hope you have a great almost-Friday day :p
Be strong, be unique, and step out of your comfort zone!
