Hello, beautiful you!!! This is the last week of November! Can you believe how fast it passed? :p Since it is the last week of November, I want to make our "I Dare You" special and conclusive. I hope you have been keeping up with the weekly additions (and if not, then it is not too late to start!). I have been doing my resolutions, and I have to say that it has been quite helpful. It has been a great experience seeing how small steps can help me grow into the person that I want to become. Sooo....for this week we have:
1) Meditate/Breathe for five minutes daily. The purpose of this exercise is to make your start or end of the day a little less stressful. I want you to have at least five minutes of your life where you come to peace with yourself. Try starting out with a minute, if it is too hard. Make sure you actually concentrate on not thinking about anything. Breathe, become calm, and just absorb the moment. I have never been able to meditate correctly, so I am going to try to do this (this is harder for me than other exercises :p).
2) Everyday write 7-10 things that you are grateful for. Do it! Make sure that everyday (maybe you have a dairy or just any paper) you literally write down seven to ten things that you are grateful for that day. Research has shown that people who were asked to do this had greater optimism in their lives and were happier. So, just for this week, try to do this either when you wake up or at the end of the day. Let's see how your view of life changes after this!
Remember: Keep doing your 15 push-ups, your three sets of 30 seconds wall-squads, your three sets of planks, your nice act of the day, post a sticky note with an awesome message for someone, and being forgiving. I dare you to act!
Have an incredible week everyone!!! And if you are celebrating Thanksgiving this week, then Happy Thanksgiving!!! :) :) :)
Be strong, be unique, and step out of your comfort zone!
