Hello, beautiful you!!! I hope this new week finds you well. There are many new adventures to behold, even if they are only found around your home. Make today a day to remember!
What is grit? Grit is that feeling of being unable to move on with your life, unless you figure out the "why" of a problem. Grit is being able to continue looking for solutions in the most obscure places, because you have asked so many questions leading to so many other questions and solutions. Grit is finding the courage to continue moving on even in the face of apparent failure, because you know that the apparent failure has actually given you more insight into the solution.
I think there are many aspects of grit that can be talk about - ranging from knowing when to "quit" a determined path in order to start another one that might be more productive, to learning how to build the trait of resilience in order to maintain focus of your goal.
What I find most attractive about people who show grit in their lives is their talent to have a goal in life, knowing that to get to that goal they might have to choose unconventional paths and they are prepared in following the unknown.
These kinds of people work towards their goal with resilience and constancy, but sometimes they might choose to do something that seems completely out of the way. However, after they come out of their adventure, they have learned so much that they are able to implement their new ideas into their original goal.
To know when to change and when to continue, to know when to slow down in the race and when to speed up, to know what it is that you need to figure out, is an adventure of a lifetime.
Nothing is going to happen in a sprint. Nothing worthwhile is going to happen in an instant. Great work, original and tremendous creations are the work of a lifetime. Grit is what allows for these works of art to be created. The grit to persevere and find out new perspectives of looking at a problem are the answers to finding the solutions.
Do you have grit? Do you have what it takes to keep going? Do you have what it takes to ask "why" over and over again, even if you don't like the criticism and answers?
I hope you have a wonderful week! Build your grit, and expect to go on many adventures!
Be strong, be unique, and step out of your comfort zone!
