This weekend's song is an all time favorite of mine from the Star Trek series titled Faith of the Heart. The clip that I have down below has scenes from all five of the series ranging from the original Kirk, to Picard and Archer, to Captain Janeway. I love the clips shown and the song's lyrics are the most powerful part of the video. Enjoy!
Have faith of the heart. Have faith to believe that life will take you to where you need to be. That doesn't mean you don't have to work. On the contrary, it is your work that will lead you, but your destiny is right there. Your destiny is asking you whether you will take the challenge. Will you be afraid or will you say yes to your challenge?
One of the reasons why I enjoy watching Star Trek is not so much because of the tech part, but the way in which the characters go through some of the most difficult challenges, yet they still come out alive and well. They have learned the beauty of tackling a challenge and coming out victorious. They are curious and afraid, but at the same time, ready to engage in new growth and prosperity. They have faith of the heart. They have faith in themselves and their work.
What about you? Maybe you are not there yet, but you can. This is not an attitude that can be acquired by simply saying "yes!" right now. It is an attitude that can be created into a habit for the rest of your life. Go!
Remember, always be good, be useful, and be grateful. These three aspects can change the way you see the world and yourself. They can help you foster a greater sense of self, and lead you to have faith of the heart. Have a wonderful trip!
Be strong, be unique, and step out of your comfort zone!
