Hello, beautiful you!!! How was your weekend? Mine was great! We had our demo at our Tae-Kown-Do school (awesome presentations!), and I got the chance to sleep (nothing better than sleep :p). Are you ready for another awesome week? Remember to wake up today and each day of this week with a grateful outlook on life. You might be going through a rough time right now, but believe that everything will pass. You might be feeling discouraged or weak, but believe that it is only for a moment, and soon you will change. Change is inevitable.
You might be wondering what is a-week-and-a-half way, and I will tell you: Christmas! I love Christmas, because it is a time when we wait for the birth of our Savior, and we share this with family and friends. It is time of reflection on what is truly important in our lives. Those important aspects of our life usually turn out to be simple enjoyments like watching a movie for the hundredth time with your best friend :p. I truly believe that.
Sure, it is super nice to have that green paper and be able to buy the latest fashion bag, or a new car, or the latest iPhone. But at the end of our life, what is truly going to matter? I read a story the other day, and I will like to share it with you:
There once was a King who requested three wishes to be performed at his funeral: His coffin should be carried away by the doctors of the city; All his treasures (gold, silver, precious rocks) should be thrown away on the way to his tomb; His hands should be balanced outside of his coffin for others may see.
His generals thought these were strange requests, and asked his why he chose them. The King responded as such, "I want my doctors to carry me, so that people realize that not even they can prevent any mortal's death. I want the land to be covered by my treasures, so that people can see that our material objects will remain here. I want my hands to be visible to others so that they realize that we are born with empty hands and we will die with empty hands when we leave this Earth. Our time is limited."
Time is the greatest gift we were given. Time is our greatest treasure. We can always make more money, but we will never recover our time here on Earth. When you give someone your time, they are receiving something very important. So, spend your time wisely. Spend your time with the people you love, doing something you love, and being useful.
What do you think? Feel free to share your thoughts. I would love to hear from you! I hope you guys have a great week.
Be strong, be unique, and step out of your comfort zone!
