Many people consider school as just the place where you can get your grades, get your diploma, and get a good job. Notice that I put an emphasis on good. Do you always get a good job after you graduate? Well, that is debatable. Many people find themselves hating their job (although it pays well) or simply not finding a job at all. So, why is school important? Or better yet, how can we take the best opportunities while we are in school to create something of ourselves that will be useful? I'm still trying to find the answer myself.
My first semester in college I had a TA for one of my classes. He was an engineer in his last semester and had found an internship some months ago. Someone asked him wether he liked what he did. Can you guess his response? He said, "Well, at the beginning I didn't like much. It was boring. But now that I am getting paid, I don't think it's too bad. It's bearable." I am not making this up. Those were his words. I believe that is the only thing I remember about that class. Is it always like this for everyone?
I do not understand, yet. I guess I am too naive, too young, or too slow. But I will continue to seek the answers to my questions (which are too many :p). What can you tell me? What is important? Fell free to share.
Well, I hope you enjoy the rest of your day and make the most of the week to come!
